An antique late 19th-century British silver basket fruit bowl with a moving handle. The piece is richly decorated with relief and pierced metalwork. An engraved royal lion emblem garnishes the center. Hallmarks HW and Co., English lion, sovereign profile of Queen Victoria, letter I for 1884, and a crown are on the bottom the rims. HW and Co stands for Henry Wilkinson and Company, a Sheffield-based silversmith that functioned until 1894. Collectible Silverware Tableware Serveware. Silver Weight: 509 g.
