The halos and clothing of the saint are decorated with fine gilt ornaments. St. Anthony of Padua, 1195 to 1231, was a Portuguese Catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order. He was one of the most quickly canonized saints in Catholic church history, being canonized less than a year after his death.
