Lot 0100: HUTSCHENREUTHER ART DECO PORCELAIN FIGURINES 1950

41 reviews

A nice pair of Mid Century German porcelain figurines modeled by Carl Werner, 1895 to 1980, for Hutschenreuther. One figurine depicts a bejeweled Balinese female dancer, and the other depicts a Balinese sword dancer swinging a sword over his head. Mounted on a square base with stepped round plinth, the figurine of a sword dancer bears an incised signature to the square base: C. Werner. Both are glazed and neatly polychrome painted, accented with gilding. Marked on the bottom with green ink makers mark.
