An antique Russian Empire silver coronation medal of Nicholas I, 1826. Designed by Vladimir Alexeev and Grigori Saburov. The obverse side depicts a portrait of Nicholas while the reverse shows the imperial crown on a column with a text around. The Eye of Providence is emitting rays in the background. Weight: 32 g. Nicholas I, 1796 to 1855, was Emperor of Russia, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Finland. He was the third son of Paul I and younger brother of his predecessor, Alexander I.
