The gilt sterling silver handle is decorated with with guilloche enamel and crystals. The handle has a double-headed eagle finial with the initals of Alexander III, Russian Emperor from 1881 till 1894, on the verso side and profile portrait of Nicholas II, the last Emperor of Russia, on the recto side.
