An antique Sterling Silver tea and coffee service set of six pieces by Gorham Manufacturing. The set includes a tea pot, a coffee pot, sugar bowls, a cream pitcher, and a tray. Each ware is decorated with engraved foliage, floral, and scrollwork patterns. Mounted on figural legs, engraved with a scrollwork motif. Circa: early 20th century. Marked with a Sterling Silver hallmark, manufacturers stamps, Gorham 1042 7 Reinforced Handle 10, on the bottom or on the backside. The Gorham Manufacturing Company is one of the largest American manufacturers of sterling and silverplate and a foundry for bronze sculpture. Gorham Silver was founded in Providence, Rhode Island, 1831 by Jabez Gorham, a master craftsman, in partnership with Henry L. Webster. Total weight: 4150 g.
