A very high quality antique Austrian porcelain lidded urn vase, presumably by the Royal Vienna porcelain factory, dating from the second half of the 19th century. The urn-shaped body is colored in hunter-green, decorated with scrolling gilt patterns, the central band is hand-painted with images of cherubs and maidens resting on clouds. Flanked by gilded handles modeled as griffin heads. Raised on a round pedestal decorated with hand-painted medallions, also depicting beautiful ladies and cherubs, both signed: J. Gold.
