A Judaica oil painting on canvas after the original oil painting on canvas, Of the High Priests Tribe, 1921 after Isidor Kaufmann, Austrian, Hungarian, 1853 to 1921. Framed. Inscribed with an engraved inscription, Shema Yisroel Kaufmann, on a gold tone plate lower to the center of the frame. Isidor Kaufmann was known for the Jewish genre, religious scenes, and portraits and genre paintings of devout Jews in the provinces of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He studied at the Budapest Drawing School and the Vienna Academy and received honors from Emperor Franz Josef as well as the German emperor and the Russian czar. One of a kind of artwork.
