An antique German masonic ceremonial sword of the Knight of Pythias secret society. The narrow steel blade is etched with stylized floral motifs and masonic symbols. Stamped on the ricasso: Schnitzler A and A Solingen. The oval guard on the front has a relief image of a knight on a horse with an ax, an eagle with spread wings is depicted above the shield.
