An antique early 20th-century German military spiked helmet, known as Pickelhaube or Pickelhelm. Boiled leather headgear with metallic trim. Black and white cockades flank a gold relief imperial eagle. The helmet is topped with a gilt spiked finial. Pickelhaube was typically worn in the 19th and 20th centuries by Prussian military officers, firefighters and police. World War I Historical Collectables, Military Uniform.
