A pair of antique 19th-century matching painted porcelain figures of cupids by Meissen Porzellan, the oldest German porcelain manufacture. The first figure represents a cupid sending a carrier pigeon. The second cupid is proposing a marriage contract. From the series inspired by a 1608 book titled Emblems of Love by Otto van Veen, 1556 to 1629, a Dutch artist. After the models by Heinrich Schwabe, 1847 to 1924, a German sculptor.
