An antique late 19th-century gilt silver powder box with a hinged lid by Wm.B. Kerr and Co., an American silversmith based in Newark, NJ that functioned from 1855 until 1906. The surface of the box is covered with purple and green guilloche enamel and has flower garland accents. Axe mark, Sterling 4728-70 is on the rim of the lid.
