A fine and hard to find ceramic figurine depicting Bacchus entwined with vines and sitting atop a wine barrel. Polychrome hand painted. Leopold Anzengruber ceramics workshop in Vienna, Austria, ca. 1950. Features a makers mark on a barrel. Leopold Anzengruber was born in 1912 in Austria, he discovered ceramics in Florence and finished his studies in 1942. In 1948, he represented Gusti Mundt-Amanns workshop in Vienna.
