An Impressionist oil on board painting depicting an interior with a young woman sitting by the window with a flute in her hands, attributed to Marguerite Stuber Pearson, American, 1898 to 1978. Provenance: 1979 Copley Artists Auction. Please refer to the attached paper labels on the backside. Housed in an old silver painted wooden frame. Born in Philadelphia, Marguerite Pearson studied at the Fenway School of Illustration, Bostons Museum School with Frederick Bosley and William James, took private art lessons from Edmund C. Tarbell and later studied with Aldro T. Hibbard, Henry Leith-Ross, Henry Hunt Clark, Howard Giles, Harold N. Anderson and Chase Emerson.
