An antique early 19th century Russian icon depicting two Orthodox saints. Hand painted on wood and gesso panel, with traditional 84 silver gilt riza or oklad covering the painting, cut out to show heads and hands and decorated with engraved and chased elements. Stamped with an 84 silver standard, makers mark MC, assay mark with the date 1806. Total weight: 28 g.
