An antique mid-19th century French tantalus containing an etched crystal bar set. Second Republic, the era of Napoleon III, 1848 to 1852. The tantalus is made of gilt bronze with glass panels and is raised on stepped square feet. The locking front self-folds to reveal a gilt bronze caddy holding the bar set, 16 wineglasses and 4 decanters with stoppers. Collectible Barware Glassware Tableware.
