An important antique 19th century French Sword Sabre d Officier de Chasseurs de Vincennes, model 1838, signed Coulaux Klingenthal. Features a brass D-guard hilt with straight quillon with a profile of the Emperor in silver, leather-covered wood grip with wire binding, curved single-edged blade with wide fuller, engraved, gilded and blued two-thirds, on one side it has an inscription: Garde Imperiale in a cartouche surmounted by the imperial eagle under the crown and military attributes, on the other side in a cartouche: Chasseurs a Pieds.
