A large Russian 88 gilt silver and enamel Easter egg case. The egg consists of two fastened halves. A gilt wash interior. The exterior of the case is covered with an enamel in blue, green, red, cobalt blue and white shades floral and geometrical patterns, and an image of the Russian Imperial double head eagle with crowns on the top, made in the Cloisonne technique. Completed with a figural stand with three legs. The legs are made in the shape of paws. Marked with a Silver standard hallmark, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. Weight: 252 g.
