A large antique Japanese hand crafted in the Chinese archaic manner and covered bronze incense burner. The burner features a Chi Lin mythical figure over reticulated cover with stylized clouds. The body is decorated with six panels with pierced latticework and mythical creatures below winged dragons. Mounted on three flaring legs hung with Buddhist symbols, and a pendant encrusted with a Jade stone. Signed with attribution to Nishimura, Tokyo, on the base.
