The artwork represents Guanyin, a Chinese Bodhisattva associated with compassion, with lotus flowers at her feet. Guanyin is accompanied by two disciples. Embossed hieroglyphical hallmarks on backside of the Guanyin figure. Dehua porcelain, also known as Blanc de Chine, is a type of white Chinese porcelain made at Dehua in the Fujian province.
