An antique French figural spelter mantel or table clock, Roman Chariot. Sculpted by Xavier Raphanel, French, 20th Century sculptor. The body of the clock depicts a rider in a horse drawn chariot. Mounted on a marble base. A white enameled dial with black Arabic numerals and ornate gilded hands. The dial is adorned with a foliage pattern. Marked on the dial. Completed with an etched plaque on the front of the base that reads, Course Romaine par X. Raphanel. Circa: the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
