Luis Riccardo Falero, Spanish, 1851 to 1896, a charming watercolor on paper painting depicting a young nude beauty standing among flowers painted in the Art Nouveau style. The painting is very well done with extremely fine details. Signed by the artist and dated 1880 lower right. Luis Ricardo Falero, Duke of Labranzano was a Spanish painter. He specialized in female nudes and mythological, orientalist and fantasy settings. His most common medium was oil on canvas. Faleros paintings are held mostly within private collections in Europe and the United States, although a watercolor of the Twin Stars is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
