Etienne Ret, American, French, 1900 to 1996, aquatint etching on paper depicting a portrait of a man playing a reed pipe. Signed lower right. Numbered 19 of 100 lower left. Framed. Etienne Ret is known for Portrait, figure and genre painting, monotypes. Etienne Ret graduated from the College of Mesnieres and completed military service in 1924. He then began formal art training in Paris in the ateliers of Maurice Denis and Georges Desvallieres, and at Ecole des Beaux Arts and Ecole des Arts Decoratifs. Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
