Ludwig Bemelmans, Austrian, 1898 to 1962, color lithograph on wove paper titled They Went Looking High And Low, from Madelines Rescue and depicting Sacre Coeur de Montmartre in Paris. Singed in the plate. Additionally signed in pencil lower left. Matted and framed. Ludwig Bemelmans was an Austrian American writer and illustrator of childrens books and adult novels. He is known best for the Madeline picture books. Six were published, the first in 1939. Mid Century Color Print For Collectors.
