An antique early 20th-century French gilt bronze mantel clock in Neo Classical style. The footed grey marble base is decorated with floral ornaments and mascarons. The major figure of a reading cupid rests on the clock. The white dial round dial has figurative hands, Arabic numerals, and traces of inscription A Paris. Embossed hallmark Samuel Marti, Medaille d Or Paris 1900 is inside the clock mechanism. Samuel Marti was a clockmaker from eastern France, he participated in numerous international exhibitions in Paris between 1890 and 1910. Antique French Ormolu, Empire Interior Decor.
