A double-barrel hunting shotgun, dated circa the mid-19th century, presumably made in Western Europe, England. Two corresponding triggers are secured within an ovoid guard. Two cylindrical barrels are stabilized with a central bar on top. The thick backstock enables the wielder to fire the shotgun with accuracy and confidence, and an incised crosshatch pattern on the backstock provides for increased grip. Antique Guns And Firearms For Collectors.
