An antique Mughal period powder flask formed from a nautilus shell. Dated from the late 18th to early 19th century. The upper cylindrical part has a mother-of-pearl frame lined with geometrical fragments. Attached to the sink is a bronze ring with a green velvet loop. Such vessels are also called barutdan.
