An executive antique French clear glass decanter decorated with highly detailed green and gilt enamel decorations depicting floral vine and duck motifs, centered by a coat of arms. Complete with a flat round stopper also enameled with floral motifs. Bears an etched number 49 to the bottom. Possibly made by Emile Galle circa the 1910-1920s. Emile Galle, French, 1846 to 1904 - an iconic figure of the French Art Nouveau style, an outstanding designer and pioneer in the development of art glass technologies of his time. He was noted for his designs of Art Nouveau glass art and Art Nouveau furniture, and was a founder of the Ecole de Nancy or Nancy School, a movement of design in the city of Nancy, France.
