A very fine antique alabaster sculptural group Young Love, depicting a young shepherd and his beloved by Giuseppe Gambogi, Italian, 1862 to 1938. No visible signature. Giuseppe Gambogi was born in Pisa but works in Florence. For his works, he uses various materials in marble, alabaster, and bronze. Sculptor with a romantic and orientalist taste. Many works created by him were made for the foreign market and some of them are kept in the museum of Dantesco in Ravenna.
