An antique late 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon. A color lithograph enclosed in a silver riza or oklad with repousse work, gilt details and enameled halo. The icon depicts Saint Panteleimon or Pantaleon, a Christian martyr considered to be a Holy Helper or Healer. The saint is depicted with a medicine box and spoon. Inscription Saint Holy Martyr Panteleimon in Church Slavonic in the lower part. Hallmark with silver standard and makers mark are on the side of the item.
