A complete book set of Russian folk tales in two volumes. Titled Russian Tale, Selected Masters. Editorial and commentary by Mark Azadovsky. Designed and illustrated by Pavel Shillingovsky. Published in 1932 by Academia. Hardcover books with dust jackets. Mark Azadovsky, 1888 to 1954, was a Soviet scholar of folk-tales and Russian literature. Pavel Shillingovsky, 1881 to 1942, was a Soviet academic artist. Academia was a Soviet publishing house that functioned from 1922 till 1937. The publishing house employed many prominent Russian graphic artists and issued over one thousand books during its existence, mostly intellectual and classical literature.
