Lot 0026: RUSSIAN 1922 LETTER HAND SIGNED BY PYOTR WRANGEL

An original Russian letter from Pyotr Wrangel to Alexander Lodyzhensky. Dated March 15, 1922 in the upper left. Sent from Belgrad. The letter is typewritten in pre-reform spelling. The letter says that Wrangel is going to Sremski Karlovci and then to Bulgaria to inspect the army. Hand-signed underneath. Pyotr Wrangel, also known as Peter von Wrangel, 1878-1928, was a Lieutenant General of the Imperial Russian army. During the later stages of the Russian Civil War, he was commanding the anti-Bolshevik White Army in Southern Russia. Alexander Lodyzhensky, 1886-1976, was a Russian officer, a chief of the White Army and Wrangel's close follower. Antique Historical Collectables, Russian Revolution, Personal Letters And Autographs.
