A unique original typed version of Babi Yar, a poem by the Soviet and Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko, 1933 to 2017, that was published in 1961, in a leading Russian periodical Literaturnaya Gazeta, in part to protest the Soviet Union's refusal to recognize Babi Yar as a Holocaust site. After its publication, Dmitri Shostakovich set it to music, as the first movement of his Thirteenth Symphony, subtitled Babi Yar. This first version of the poem is typed on both sides of one paper sheet, signed verso and edited by the poet himself. This poem is a culmination of his life as a poet. Feltsman family: Oscar Feltsman, 1921 to 2013, was a Russian composer of Jewish descent born in Odessa. He was the father of Vladimir Feltsman, born in 1952 a Russian-American classical pianist. Anna Feltsman was the first wife of Vladimir Feltsman.
