A lot of two antique 19th-century engravings on composite board. First. An artwork representing a young woman with a dog against the backdrop of a waterfall. Titled The Nymph of the Waterfall, or Waterfall at St Nighton's Kieve, near Tintagel. Circa 1848. Engraved by Frederick Bacon, 1803-1887, a British printmaker. After a painting by Daniel Maclise, 1806-1870, an Irish history painter. Second. An artwork depicting a man writing in a book. Titled Ein Alter Gelehrter, An Old Scholar. Circa 1845. From Payne's Royal Dresden Gallery engraving series by Albert Henry Payne, 1812 to 1902, an English engraver who worked in Leipzig, Germany. After Frans van Mieris the Elder, 1635 to 1681, a Dutch Golden Age genre and portrait painter. Collectible Antique Graphic Art, European Genre Painting.
