The exterior of the vase is adorned with a medallion scene, Dresden From The Right Bank of The Elbe in Front of the August Bridge, after the original oil painting, 1748, by Bernardo Bellotto, Italian, 1721 to 1780, a gilded scrollwork frame, and gilded rims. The vase stands on a round foot. Marked with a blue ink mark, a red mark, and a Dresden mark, on the bottom. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Bernardo Bellotto was an Italian urban landscape painter or vedutista, and printmaker in etching famous for his vedute of European cities, Dresden, Vienna, Turin, and Warsaw.
