An antique Dogon bowl made of wood comes from the region of Toro, at the extreme east of the Bandiagara cliff. The bowl stands on a decorated round base. The supporting legs of the pot are carved into three person faces. Vessels of this type were used in secondary burial rituals by the Dogon.
