Ernest Meissonier, 1815 to 1891, pen and ink with watercolor portrait painting of Napoleon on horseback after his famous painting Napoleon I in 1814. Signed and dated 1863 lower right. Matted and framed. Additionally signed to the mat. Jean Louis Ernest Meissonier was a French Classicist painter and sculptor famous for his depictions of Napoleon, his armies and military themes.
