Lot 0290: ITALIAN 14K GOLD AND CARNELIAN STATEMENT NECKLACE

A vintage 14K gold statement necklace with a large round carnelian medallion. The medallion is carved with a depiction of two griffons and a goat. The piece is topped by a gold sphynx figurine, three filigree spheres are hanging underneath. A pin is attached to the backside of the medallion so it can be removed from the chain and used as a brooch. Hallmarks with gold standard, Italy are on the backside and on the lock of the chain.
