A lot of historical documents related to the release of the Grumman F6F Hellcat, an American fighter aircraft that was used during World War II. The lot includes seven black and white official US Navy photographs of the airplane and six typewritten copies of official mid-century Grumman reports on the assembly and use of the Hellcat. The texts have handwritten notes on the margins. The documents come from the personal archive of Stanley Ulanoff, 1922-2022, an American historian and World War II veteran.
