An antique French Louis XVI style gilt bronze mantel clock. Features a popular for Louis XVI style clocks form of the lyre. Stands on a stepped plinth base, raised on four bun feet. A dial, with Arabic numeral hour marks on individual circular enamel cartouches, is set into the body of the lyre, while the twin lyre arms spring from the shoulders of the case. The arms are connected by scrolled swans head finials with an Apollo sunburst mask in between. Decorated with scrolled forms and grasping acanthus leaves. The movement is signed Le Roy a Paris.
