An antique Baroque-style Russian Orthodox icon representing the Holy Face Jesus Christ or Mandylion, known in the Western tradition as the Image of Edessa. This image refers to the first Christian icon, a square or rectangular cloth upon which a miraculous image of the face of Jesus had been imprinted.
