A white Russian porcelain decorative plate with a golden rim and hand-painted design representing a copy of an artwork by Nikolay Karazin. The design represents two female beggars in the field and a pole with birds. Hallmarks on the backside: imperial eagles, Saint-Petersburg, Kornilov Bros., From an Original Painting by N. Karazin, initials BK, Reproduction Prohibited in Russian. Nikolay Karazin, 1842-1908, was a Russian military officer and painter.
