An antique enamel 84 silver hand painted Russian Orthodox icon of Mother Of God Kazanskaya. The mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on the wood panel. The icon is overlaid with a repousse and chased 84 silver oklad or riza. Presented in an enameled silver frame. The oklad and the frame are covered with an enameled floral and scrollwork patterns in blue, white, yellow, turquoise and cobalt blue shades made in the Cloisonne technique. Circa: late 19th century.
