Lev Kropivnitsky, Russian, Soviet, 1922 to 1995, oil painting on board, a Bull and Girls, 1967. Signed and dated lower left. Lev Kropivnitsky was a Soviet painter and graphic artist. In 1939 he entered the Moscow Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. From the 1950s he worked at the Combine of decorative and applied arts. There he created posters, and exhibition designs for different exhibitions and museums. Kropivnitsky was involved in book graphics and art criticism; more than 10 articles by the artist were published in the Decorative Art magazine. In the early 1960s, Kropivnitsky began to paint in an abstract impressionism manner. One of a kind artwork.
