A pair of antique American figural bronze scones by E. F. Caldwell and Co. The bodies of the scones are made in the shape of a cherub golding a bowl and sitting on a dolphin. mounted to a bronze plaque adorned with a relief floral pattern. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. E. F. Caldwell and Co. was one of Americas premier manufacturers of lighting fixtures and metalwork in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The companys affiliation with major architects, such as Stanford White, ensured their work appeared in the most prominent commissions, such the Carnegie and Frederick W.
