An antique French mid 19th century black transfer-printed faience decorative plate from the series commemorating the birth of the 2nd republic in France in 1848, made by Creil and Montereau Faienceries under the name Lebeuf, Milliet and Co. circa 1850-1876. Plate No. 10, titled in French: Mort De Larcheveque - Juin 1848. The scene depicts death of Archbishop Denis Affre, 1793 to 1848. Stamped to back: Lebeuf Milliet and Co, Medailles Dor, 1834 39 et 44, Porcelaine opaque, Creil et Montereau. and incised number 6.
