The collection includes Remojades style hand crafted pieces in the shape of heads fragments in traditional headdresses and accessories and body elements. The pieces depict Remojades style head fragments, the rounded style and upturned face. Anthropologists and archaeologists have interpreted the upturned face as a means of expressing adoration, probably for a god. Veracruz, Mexico. 800 to 1200 A.D. Remojadas is a name applied to a culture, an archaeological site, as well as an artistic style that flourished on Mexicos Veracruz Gulf Coast from perhaps 100 BCE to 800 CE.
