A lot of items related to Haranghy Jeno, 1894-1951, a Hungarian graphic designer and arts teacher. The lot includes 19 ex libris prints and two brochures. The bookplates were individual comissions executed in the 1920-1930s. The prints are hand-signed by Haranghy on the front or marked on the backside. A 1984 biography of the artist written by Komjathy Kalman has a handwritten inscription on the first page. A 1994 catalog of the artist's ex libris heritage comes with a bookmark. Both books are in Hungarian. An Ex Libris, Latin for From the Library, is a printed or decorative label pasted into a book to indicate ownership. The design of the plate usually bears motifs related to the owner. European Modern Art, Antiquarian Collectables.
