Oil on canvas painting depicting three medieval warriors on horseback in the field. The painting depicts three heroes - Dobrynya Nikitich, Ilya Muromets, and Alyosha Popovich, the main characters of Russian folklore epics. The lot is a hand copy of an 1898 artwork titled Bogatyrs by Viktor Vasnetsov, 1848-1926, a Russian artist who specialized in mythological and historical subjects.
