An antique late 18th-century French porcelain-set gilt bronze mantel clock manufactured by Lenoir. The clock is a cubic base on legs with porcelain medallions and a dial, topped with a handled porcelain vase. Hand-painted porcelain insets with a pink background color and golden detailings represent images of flowers and cherubs. The medallions have blue floral paintings on the backsides. Figurative bronze handles of the vase are flanked by male mascarons. The white enamel dial with figurative clock hands is signed Lenoire A Paris. Etienne LeNoir was the patriarch of a dynasty of French clockmakers who specialized in movements for clocks with lavishly decorated cases for royal and aristocratic patrons.
